About Me

I am interested in people; how we relate to ourselves, to one another, to our surroundings, and how we work to make sense of our world. I am a husband, dog owner, friend, student, teacher, photographer, writer, art-lover, tourist, and a fan of good breakfasts.

On Photography:

I continue my interest in exploring the relationships people have with one another and their surroundings in my photographic work. I began my photographic career using almost entirely black & white film. I have since converted to digital photography but still convert most of my photographs to black & white. The photos look great and the lack of color highlights connections and relationships between people and their surroundings. Also, I rarely use a flash, it is hard for people to be relaxed with a flash gun going off every few moments. I studied photojournalism at the University of Minnesota and currently chase photographs in Minneapolis.

I am available to photograph corporate or private events, weddings, candid portraits, or other projects.
